Eveline Cosmetics Mattifying BB cream 8 in 1 review

Hey Trendsaviess!! Welcome !
The product which is under test for today is Eveline Cosmetics  Mattifying BB cream 8 in 1.

source: Notino

About the product:
Eveline Cosmetics  Mattifying BB cream 8 in 1 is a unique BB cream as it claims that it has 8 properties in one tube. its website says that is
•long-lastingly and effectively mattifies
•reduces visibility of pores
•evens skin tone
•conceals redness and imperfections
•intensely moisturises 24h
•smoothens and illuminates
•reduces symptoms of fatigue
•SPF 15 protects against UVA/UVB         (source: www.eveline.eu)
It is made in France and claims that you will get Fast Matt Baby Face after applying it. The tube comes with 40ml / 1.41 fl. oz of product which is fair considering that most of our other bb creams comes with only 30ml tube or containers. On the tube it says that this product will last for only 6 months after its being opened. Thus the bb cream has a little life. This BB cream comes in only two shades 'Light'and 'Medium', this can be a disadvantage as most of us will not fit into the shades offered.

About the packing:
I am pretty impressed by the packing of the bb cream as it comes in a huge box like packing. this box is also plastic sealed so that bb cream remains protected from uv rays. The product itself comes in a tube. I must say that the tube is made of fine plastic. I feels soft to touch. However, the tap of the tube is made up of slightly raw plastic, but I will for go it considering the price and function of the product.

My remarks about the BB cream:
I got the shade 'Light'. It is still dark for my skin. This particular bb cream's shade is for yellow undertones and people with olive skin like me. The consistency of the bb cream is medium, not very runny and not very thick. It is best of its own. The product is pigmented I must say. It changes the color of your skin if it is not a perfect match. The is a medium to full coverage bb cream (which I love)*. It has a light pleasant fragrance which is very light to smell. It applies well and easily on the skin, blends well. I have dry skin and it just glides on smoothly. I usually have dryness under my eyes and it does not set into it. However, if excessive product is applied it will set into the dry patches. If you want a full coverage you can build on too. It does not expose the pores but rather conceal them. It wears for straight 7hrs, after being powdered, which is pretty good! After 8th hours it behaved well on my skin however I had breakouts on my nose. Over all, it helped my blush to apply, did not make patches n my skin of highlighter. Moreover, I used it on my pigmented lips and it covered them well. Thus it helps in making the skin even toned. It definitely smooths the skin but does not illuminates it. I could rather call it a matte finish bb cream which performs the function of a foundation.

Final verdict on claims:
It fulfills most of the claims made by it (expect for illuminating the skin part) hence it gets 9/10 from my side for keeping up with the claims!

Shade range:
It comes with just two shades Light and Medium. Which I count as a disadvantage. However if you can find your shade, GRAB one!! mind you that the light color was still dark for me. So the fair toned people stay away from it as it would be too dark for them.
Shade from the tube (Light)

Swatch of the Light shade

*pro tip: if you dont like full coverage add a drop of two of moisturizer into the foundation and apply! it will give less coverage now!

Price:
I got it for Rs 500/- pak ( approximately $5) from Township market, Lahore. However, it can be found at different online stores as well for the same price. The price for which you get it depends on your bargaining skills in Pakistan :p
For the experience that this bb cream gives, I personally think the price is fair.
Moreover it acts like a foundation rather bb cream with added SPF.

Pros:
  • Travel friendly packing
  • Gives more product
  • Medium to full coverage
  • lasts long on face 7hrs
  • gives matte finish
  • cancels pigmentation
  • good for dry skin and best for oily skin*

* I have dry skin and it works perfectly fine for me

Cons:
  • quality of cap is low
  • not easily available at cosmetics shops
  • The second quote under the eye, sets into the dry patches
  • expiry date is 6 months from use
  • the color range is too brief (just two)
  • the 'Light' color is too dark for fair people
Recommended or Not Recommended:
Recommended!!! I highly recommended you guys to try it out.

Yay or Nay:
with no surprise, its a YAY!!

My rating:
Keeping everything in mind, I would give it a 9/10!!😊
