Hey Trendsaviees!
I know I am late but this beauty find is worth the wait!
Today we have an AFFORDABLE AND A GREAT foundation for review!
So today the product under review is 'Becute Cover Up Foundation Stick'.
source: Becute Cosmetics Facebook page
About the company:
Becute Professional Cosmetics is a nascent Pakistani cosmetics brand which is making its mark in the beauty industry of Pakistan. It offers a range of affordable but quality cosmetics to meet the local demand. Further, the colors and products offered by the brand are designed to compete with high end brands. They have expanded to nail polish, lipsticks, eye shades, foundations, skin care and what not domain. So if you are looking for a quality but affordable beauty product - THIS IS YOUR STATION TO SHOP FROM!
About the Product:
The foundation stick is fairly small in size. The tube comes with 12.5g of product which is a lot considering the price. It comes in 8 shades, with yellow under tones to red undertones, which is fairly limited in my opinion. However if you can find your shade, grab it.
Packaging: The stick comes in a boxed packing to avoid its inner stick from sun rays. The foundation itself comes in a light sea green plastic base with a transparent plastic cap. The packaging is strong enough to keep the foundation stick inside safe.
Foundation texture: The foundation applies well on the face. With a single swipe a decent amount of product comes out. HOWEVER, blending the foundation is a task!😕 The foundation can be blended well using figures, sponge and beauty blender but it cannot be blended using brush. Further, you have to apply gentle amount of pressure while blending it. That is my only complain about the product 😞. After the foundation is blended it gives flawless finish on skin.😊
I use figures and sponge to blend the foundation but to do so i have to apply pressure. Once it gets blended, my face looks exceptionally good. so i dont mind this blending struggle.
Coverage: It gives medium coverage on first layer. I have dark circles and 1st layer covers them but a slight color of my dark circles does show. However, it can be layered on to get full coverage.
If little amount is applied then light coverage can also be achieved.
I like to paint my entire face with it and then blend it, this gives me full coverage.
The area under my eyes is dry, so upon layering the dry patches under my eyes get prominent. So I just apply one layer under my eyes. This 1st layer does not make my dryness visible. the rest of my face has normal skin and there I am layer on as many times as I want.
Usage: I use it as daily use foundation and my skin does not feel tired of it. It is good for day time and night time. A key is to remove your makeup before going to bed and moisturizing it before applying foundation.
Staying Power: The foundation wears for good 6 hrs without any breakage. However, it gets broke on my nose after 6th hour. But it does not break on my eyes or forehead or cheeks. :D
BUT I do observe it settling in my smile lines*.
* it can easily be fixed by blending the base gently around the smile lines with figures.
My shade: I use FS45
Price: I got the foundation stick for RS 310/- (approximately $4) WHICH IS A STEAL!!😊
It is available at Rahim Store- Wapda town and Iqbal town branch. I got mine from a super store in Barkat Market that is in the line of post office.
disclaimer: People with extreme or somewhat dry skin should not use it.
PRO TIP: to get a foundation of your match test it on your cheeks such that it matches your neck color as best and blends in your skin seamlessly. Testing products on the arm will end you up buying a wrong shade because the color of our arms and face is always different - try it now!
Pros:
Thanks for making it to the end ! I love you guys soo much!!

Pros:
- it is highly affordable
- gives medium coverage
- build-able
- looks perfect after blending
- stays for a long time
- caters to yellow undertones skin 😊
- works best for oily to normal skin
Cons:
- does not blend easily
- layering can result in patchyness
- is not available easily
- has limited colors
Recommended or not Recommended :
Recommended, only if you can bear the blending because it takes affords to blend.
My rating: 8/10
points cut off because of blending issue.

Hi,
ReplyDeleteAs usual gr8 review. Whereas blending issue is concerned.. I think all foundation sticks like TV paint stick, krylon etc can't be blended easily. Liquid foundation can be blended with brush but stick is difficult to blend with brush. U need finger pressure or makeup blender/ sponge press ups to blend.
I'll definitely try becute. But I m always confused to chose foundation shade. My complexion is fair. Can u suggest shade?
Thank you for your comment :)
DeleteYour perfect foundation shade depends on your undertone. Is it yellow or red ?
Further, while choosing a foundation swatch it on face and blend. Your perfect foundation match is the one that blends well into your skin without changing your natural shade.
Hi. Great review. I recently bought it in shade fs38. It's my first ever foundation. And it's too hard to blend. Do you prep your skin before applying it? I don't find its texture good. It's hard. Not creamy type. Also, do you blending it with beauty blender doesn't work for me. Would love some tips.
ReplyDeleteI want to buy this, but now a days i didn't find it in any cosmetic shop.
ReplyDeleteAre becute cosmetics halal?
